Eric’s band is on the verge of making the big time and life is good. But when he’s forced to work with Faith, a sexy but hateful woman, life for the foreseeable future might be a little rocky.

The tension between Eric and Faith is nearly tangible. Their troublesome friction abruptly becomes a lust-hate situation, fraught with vicious barbs and spite, but an explosive sexual chemistry could burn them both, leaving nothing but a pile of ash in its wake. But Cupid has a wicked sense of humor, and the two of them will find that the person you hate the most can rock your world the hardest.

This story contains scenes of dubious consent which some readers might find objectionable.

The saying that you can't redo first impressions takes center stage in this book. Faith offers to help her friend's (her boyfriend's) band do a videography, and Eric-the lead singer-wants nothing to do with it. First eye contact had them both attracted to each, first words?? Not so much. Eric and Faith started their 'relationship' on the wrong foot, and both are too stubborn and proud to change their banter.
The book definitely has a rough edge to it and, as other reviewer pointed out, some scenes might make 'rape' come to mind. However, I think Eric took full responsibility in this scene so it didn't bother me, but I can see where it might bother others. The passion between Eric and Faith works for (love) and against (hate) them. The other band members' characters are minimal, but help put things in perspective. My favorite, a friend of Eric's, was Van---he plays a bigger part and I loved him.
In the end, I can't really say why I loved this book--maybe I can relate a little too much with Faith and Eric. When I read the product description I thought, OK for free I'll give it a try. Boy was I wrong. I can honestly say this is the FIRST book that I have reread. I just love the story---and although a sequel would definitely have to be different it would be interesting to see how things ended in the future.

Recommend: YES
Price: Definitely worth the $0.99---for the simple fact that it has little to no grammatical errors. I would purchase up to a $1.99 price tag :)
ReRead: Yes, don't know why...but I have....and it is the first book that didn't require me to reread (due to sequels and needing refreshing)

Fighting Faith edition by Brandie Buckwine Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

Faith and Evan's story was a little bit difficult for me to relate to. Evan's character did some things to Faith that I find really hard to believe would have been okay with most women. Not being a prude, but not liking some of the sex scenes in this book.
WOW!!!! Although there were a few pages that made we wiggle, I really liked this book. The story between the two characters is hot, frustrating and a little more hot, This is total page turner because you cannot wait to see what they are going to do next. I actaully missed a few hours because I lost track of time and didnt want to stop,
Brandie, you go girl <3 it!!!
This was a quickie freebie I picked up. Talk about enemies to lovers! Oh boy! Eric was downright brutal and nasty to Faith and she was almost as cruel to him. But for whatever reason it worked for them and gave them some explosive chemistry when they got together. (This is not a book for everyone. Again, Eric was VERY insulting to Faith at times.)
This is a very quick read. I found it to be rather disturbing. Eric and Faith have a volatile relationship from the moment they meet and it continues throughout the book. What Eric says and does to Faith is horrible and abusive yet she comes back for more. She's not completely innocent in it but I was shocked by some of the things he said. It wasn't my kind of book but it did keep me curious as to what was going to happen next.
...for this one. The H was extremely abusive, and I couldn't accept the way he spoke to the h. Bantering back and forth is one thing, being hateful and disrespectful is something totally different. She should have called the police after one of their sexual encounters! The premise was cute and I think would have been wonderfully executed without the abuse. Although the sex was hot, I just couldn't reconcile the two, and so this book left me feeling sad, really. For the heroine and for anyone who comes away from reading this book thinking that being called whores and bitches and being thrown $200 at after the deed is OK.
3.5 Stars
A knock down, drag out, non stop hit you in the face story. Fighting Faith is truly a fight from beginning to end. At first meeting Eric is rubbed the wrong way by some constructive criticism from Faith. Taking the attraction he instantly has for Faith to level that has the fist flaring. Raw, rude and nothing is fair in lust and war. As the insults fly and the temperature rises, Eric and Faith will make your jaw drop. Good or bad? That remains to be seen.

I really like the gritty rawness of the story. I wish it had been a little longer. It moves fast and will more that catch your attention. Edgy and dirty, the one we care about the most can drive us insane the fastest.
This book is from my personal library!
This was a short 81-page novella, and I DUG it! Eric's band is on the verge of a break-out. Faith is good friends with the drummer and his girlfriend. She's hired to be their videographer, and passes up a bigger job as she can feel there's something good going to happen. But when Faith criticizes Eric's playing, the intense hate between these two is soooo palpable. But along with that crazy hate is a sexual tension dying to get out! Take for example the night Eric shows up at her place... throwing two Benjamins at her on his way out made me want to slap the ever loving s*** out of him, but this just fueled the fire. I was half expecting Faith to break into tears and have Eric feel like a total ass but that never actually happened. Granted, the ending came really fast and furious, but that's what happens when you only have 81 pages to deal with. I absolutely loved this as it was super explosive! 5 star.
