So if you can get over the fact that Sam is a naive self absorbed main character you can actually appreciate how good of a story this really is! Sam has rekindled her relationship with Sean, her first love and is happier than ever! But then her modeling career gets in the way and starts to challenge the relationships she has with Sean and her BFF Kairi. Cal is Kairi's ex and the owner of a modeling agency. His roundabout attempts to get the girl go completely unnoticed by only Sam as she continuously allows him to threaten her relationship with Sean, the gorgeous super boyfriend who has had the unfortunate challenge of dealing with the loss of his father and taking over the family business. All Sam can see is her future career and the possibilities Cal presents for her by being her manager. He continuously whisks her away to LA to book small gigs as she leaves behind her loved ones in FL. Enter Serious Drama and heartbreak for Sean as Sam repeatedly makes the wrong choices. But lets face it ladies, sometimes women are the toxin in a relationship, there are some really good guys out there. But then you stop to think if you would sacrifice what she does if your lifelong dream were to come true! But let's face it, Sean is one of a kind, even if he is friends with Micah, Kairi's obnoxious brother and complete Sam hater! There is also Sam's stepfather who is physically abusive and there is a scene in there where it is literally hard to read as the abuse escalates. The ending is very abrupt but I am only hoping that is because there will be a sequel.
